Contact and Autograph Information

E-Mail:

It's easiest to reach me by e-mail, at allston@AaronAllston.com.
Before doing so, though, you might want to browse my web site at http://www.AaronAllston.com/, in case its pages — especially the Frequently Asked Questions pages — have the answers to your questions.
And if you're writing to ask questions for a school paper, well, I'd recommend against this tactic. Sure, I'll answer reasonable questions, but usually not in a timely enough fashion to be helpful to a paper — particularly when I'm on deadline with a writing assignment.

Snail Mail:

     My physical mailing address is:

Aaron Allston
PO Box 564
Round Rock, TX 78680-0564

Note that I respond to e-mail in a much more timely fashion than I do to physical mail.

Autograph Requests:

I'm happy to sign autographs in person or by mail.
My appearance schedule page shows my signings and conventions schedule; I often have autograph sessions at conventions as well as at bookstore signings.
If you'd like to receive an autograph by mail, here are some things to bear in mind:
My mailing address is listed at the top of this page.
I'll cheerfully sign bookplates (or the equivalent, such as blank sticky labels) or books themselves; whatever you choose to send me to sign, please enclose an envelope with postage sufficient to get it back to you. In the case of international mail, please get U.S. postage or enclose an IRC (International Reply Coupon).
If you'd like an autographed photograph, please send an envelope that:

Do enclose a note telling me whether you'd like the autograph personalized (e.g., "To Bob") or not. Otherwise you'll get a basically impersonal name and date.
I don't visit my post office box all that frequently — usually once every two weeks — so turnaround on your package could be several weeks.

Auction Requests:

Owing to the large number of requests I receive for items for charity auctions, I've had to institute this policy:
I can only offer items to charity auctions if I am otherwise participating in the auction or am attending related events (such as a convention hosting the auction); I can no longer send items to auctions I am not attending.
